Dung Quat shipbuilding industry company Ltd. called Dung Quat Shipyard, is a member unit of Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Group established under decision No 208/CNT-TCCB-LD 20^th Feb., 2006 of VINASHIN Management Board.

Located in an important economic zone of Central area and had great advantages to develop shipbuilding industry, Dung Quat Shipyard has been built since 2003 by Vinashin Group. Up to now, there are skillful engineers and workers; infrastructure system with area of workshops up to 130,250m². No.1 dry dock which is 380m long, 86 m wide, 14 m deep can build types of 300.000 DWT vessel. No.2 dry dock has been promptly building. Dung Quat Shipyard has been equipped with modern technology equipments. Dung Quat Shipyard is not only the most modern one in Vietnam but also one of the biggest shipyards in ASEAN for building types of vessel up to 400,000 DWT. 

 With the strategy “Big vessels, quick delivery, good quality, high safety, low cost”, together with efforts of all member units of Vinashin Group, Dung Quat Shipyard will produce big dead weight ton vessels into domestics and oversea market, and contributes to affirm position of Vietnam shipbuilding industry in international market.
